In order to conduct long-term studies related to muscle contraction, it is essential to use a highly repeatable methodology which enables fast and objective measurements. Unfortunately, there are not many methods that meet all of the mentioned criteria, which makes long-term monitoring of muscle contraction a demanding process and limits the research possibilities.

On the other side, tensiomyography and a tensiomyography based TMG S1 system provide an effective solution for long-term monitoring of muscle contraction. With the scientifically validated repeatability above 95 %, fast measurement execution and selectivity, researchers now have the flexibility to perform a variety of research in the field of muscle contraction, which have not been possible before, or make the existing research work easier.
